POSITION OVERVIEW

The Chef de Cuisine is responsible for leading all culinary operations at Melvyn’s Restaurant. This leadership role ensures the highest standards in food preparation, kitchen organization, colleague development, and guest experience. The position fosters a collaborative environment focused on excellence, consistency, and a warm, service-forward culture.

REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Minimum 3 years of experience in a culinary leadership role in a fast-paced, high-standard kitchen.
  • Demonstrated ability to lead and motivate a diverse team of colleagues.
  • Excellent communication, organizational, and time management skills.
  • Proficiency with kitchen management software, POS systems, and Microsoft Office.
  • Flexible availability, including evenings, weekends, and holidays.
  • Must be able to obtain and maintain a valid Riverside County Food Handler’s certification or ServSafe certification throughout employment.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Degree in Culinary Arts or equivalent formal culinary training.
