210 Bistro is an independent restaurant in the heart of Aberdeen, located just beyond the Union Square Car Park.
We serve a diverse range of dishes focusing on seasonal and local produce. Our focus is serving high-quality dishes in a positive work environment. We are seeking a skilled and creative chef to join our team.
The business operates across 4 days, Wednesday to Saturday, and is closed for 3 days, Sunday – Tuesday, which guarantees all of us 3 days off. This position can be flexible - we are happy to offer a contract ranging from 14 hours to 30 hours p/w depending on what you are looking for. The position would suit someone working around college hours.
We are closed for a week over the festive period giving you Christmas and Boxing Day off. We re-open for Hogmanay and then shut again for 1-2 weeks in January. This allows us all time to relax and enjoy the festive period after a busy spell.
We are looking for a talented all rounded chef who is driven, enthusiastic, flexible and has a passion for food. You can benefit from being part of a small and dynamic team and encouraged for your input when writing menus and specials.
The position is ideal for a junior starting their career or a chef with a few years experience looking for a more stable work-life balance. You will be working in a small kitchen team which will provide a unique opportunity for a junior chef to learn skills in every area of the kitchen.
Experience:
- Knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
- Ability to work well under pressure while maintaining a positive attitude.
- Previous experience in a restaurant setting is preferred.
