We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our team at Novotel Queenstown Lakeside. The successful candidate will assist the Food & Beverage Operations Manager and Head Chef in the day-to-day operation of our kitchen, ensuring high standards of food preparation, presentation, and hygiene are consistently maintained. Job Description Assist Executive and Sous Chefs with menu preparation and daily kitchen operations. Supervise kitchen staff in the absence of senior chefs and provide coaching and mentoring to team members and apprentices. Maintain high standards of food hygiene, presentation, and portion control in compliance with HACCP and NZ food safety regulations. Monitor stock levels, manage food costs, and implement efficient kitchen practices. Liaise with restaurant teams regarding menu items, special requests, and operational requirements. Ensure all kitchen equipment is maintained, cleaned, and used safely. Qualifications Minimum of 3 years’ experience in a similar role in a commercial or hotel kitchen. Strong knowledge of food hygiene, safety, and kitchen operations. Leadership skills with experience supervising staff or apprentices. Ability to work flexible hours, including weekends and public holidays. Effective communication and teamwork skills. Wage $31.95 per hour Additional Information Why work for Novotel, Queenstown?
