Description

Launch Eddie’s | Newcastle Coastline

Be part of something from the very beginning.

Eddie’s is a newly refurbished coastal venue with a brand-new fit-out, set to become one of Newcastle’s most recognised hospitality destinations. With a strong food focus and a brand-new kitchen, this is a venue built to deliver quality at scale.

We’re building our foundational kitchen team — Chef de Partie & Commis Chef — and looking for people who want more than just a job. If you’re passionate about food and want to shape a kitchen from day one, this is your opportunity.

The Opportunity

This is your chance to step into a new kitchen team, helping bring a newly transformed venue to life.

You’ll be part of setting the tone — from kitchen culture to food quality and consistency — building a strong foundation from the ground up.

You’ll work closely under the guidance of our Group Executive Chef, bringing years of industry experience, offering strong mentorship and support across all levels of the kitchen.

We have casual, part-time, and full-time roles available, with opportunities to grow as the venue and group continue to expand.

Successful candidates must be available to commence within 1 month for the upcoming opening.

The Venue

Set along Newcastle’s iconic coastline, Eddie’s combines a relaxed beachside atmosphere with high-quality food and a fast-paced service environment.

  • Brand-new kitchen with modern, high-quality equipment
  • Newly refurbished venue with a premium fit-out
  • High-volume, fast-paced coastal location
  • Strong focus on breakfast and lunch service
  • Open 7 days, early morning to mid-afternoon
  • A team built on energy, positivity, and consistency

The Role

As part of the kitchen team, you’ll play a key role in delivering a high-quality food experience.

  • Chef de Partie: Run your section, maintain consistency, and support kitchen operations
  • Commis Chef: Assist across sections and develop your skills in a supportive environment
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality dishes with consistency
  • Assist in pre-opening setup, systems, and kitchen organisation
  • Maintain food safety, cleanliness, and kitchen standards
  • Work efficiently during busy service periods
  • Support stock control, ordering, and waste management
  • Contribute to a positive, high-performing kitchen culture

What We’re Looking For

  • Previous experience in a commercial kitchen
  • Strong knowledge of food preparation and kitchen operations
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment
  • Passion for food, quality, and presentation
  • Strong work ethic and attention to detail
  • Good communication and teamwork skills
  • Reliability and a positive attitude
  • Australian work rights required
  • Food Handler Certificate

What’s In It For You

  • Be part of opening a brand-new kitchen from day one
  • Work in a modern kitchen with brand-new equipment
  • Daytime hours only — no late nights
  • Staff meals and discounts across Noke Group venues
  • Ongoing training and development opportunities
  • Clear pathways for career growth within a growing group
  • Work alongside an experienced Group Executive Chef and gain valuable mentorship
  • Work in a stunning coastal location
