JOB SUMMARY

We are on the hunt for a dedicated and passionate Cook to join our culinary team. The ideal candidate will be responsible for preparing high-quality meals, ensuring food safety standards, and delivering exceptional dining experiences. This role requires a strong understanding of food handling and preparation techniques, as well as the ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced kitchen environment.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience in a cook or food service role.
  • Basic Butchery/ meat portioning
  • Cooking of various meats such as Duck and Venison is a plus
  • Knowledge of food handling practices and kitchen safety regulations is essential.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and cuisines is a plus.
  • Ability to work effectively in a team-oriented environment while maintaining individual responsibilities.
  • Strong communication skills to coordinate with kitchen staff and management effectively.
Responsibilities
  • Butcher and portion meats
  • Cook meats, pastas, and various sides during service
  • Set and maintain mise en place
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including proper storage of food items.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service and quality control.
  • Monitor inventory levels of ingredients and supplies, reporting any shortages to management.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on food preparation techniques and safety protocols.
  • Participate in menu planning and contribute creative ideas for new dishes.
