Description:

JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a dedicated and skilled chef to join our small team. The ideal candidate will have a passion for food preparation and a strong understanding of kitchen operations. You will play a vital role in ensuring the timely and efficient preparation of high-quality meals while adhering to food safety standards.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or culinary environment is essential.
  • Strong knowledge of food safety practices and regulations.
  • Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment while maintaining attention to detail.
  • Excellent communication skills and the ability to work as part of a team.
  • A passion for cooking and willingness to learn new culinary techniques.
  • Flexibility to work various shifts, including evenings and weekends as required.
    Job Type: Part-time
    Pay: £11.44-£12.00 per hour
    Expected hours: 16 – 20 per week

Responsibilities:

  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Assist in meal preparation by chopping, slicing, and dicing ingredients as required.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all cooking utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
  • Monitor food stock levels and assist in inventory management to ensure all necessary ingredients are available for meal preparation.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation during service times.
  • Follow food safety guidelines to ensure the highest standards of hygiene are maintained at all times.
