About the Role:
We are seeking an enthusiastic and skilled Chef de Partie to join our kitchen team at Basingstoke Golf Club. This is an excellent opportunity for a passionate chef to develop their career in a members’ club environment, working under the instruction of the Sous Chef and reporting to the Head Chef whilst delivering exceptional dining experiences for our valued members and guests across all aspects of the kitchen.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Work across all aspects of the kitchen
  • Prepare, cook, and present food to the highest standards within various kitchen sections as required
  • Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in menu planning and daily kitchen operations
  • Ensure all food safety, hygiene, and health & safety regulations are strictly adhered to
  • Maintain accurate stock control and minimise waste within your section
  • Work collaboratively as part of the kitchen team to ensure smooth service
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of your work area and equipment
  • Assist with special events and functions as required

Essential Requirements:

  • Level 2 Food Safety and Hygiene Certificate
  • City & Guilds qualification in Food Preparation and Cooking (or equivalent recognised qualification)
  • Strong knowledge of food safety procedures and HACCP principles
  • Ability to work under pressure whilst maintaining high standards
  • Excellent communication and teamwork skills
  • Flexibility to work within a rota system covering seven days a week
  • Physical stamina to work long shifts in a busy kitchen environment

Desirable Requirements:

  • Experience working in a club, hotel, or fine dining environment
  • Additional culinary qualifications
  • Knowledge of allergen management
  • Experience with special dietary requirements

Working Hours and Conditions:

  • Full-time position: 40 hours per week
  • Rota system operating Monday to Sunday with two days off per week
  • Club opening hours: 7:00 AM to 10:00 PM
  • Flexible working patterns to include early mornings, evenings, weekends, and bank holidays
  • Uniform provided
