As a key member of our kitchen staff, you will be responsible for overseeing a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring high-quality food preparation, and maintaining excellent standards of hygiene and safety. Manage and operate a designated kitchen station, overseeing food preparation and cooking processes Prepare and cook dishes according to recipes and standards set by the Executive Chef Ensure food safety and sanitation practices are strictly followed at all times Collaborate with other kitchen staff to maintain smooth operations and timely food service Assist in menu development and recipe creation, providing innovative ideas and suggestions Train and supervise junior kitchen staff, including commis chefs and kitchen assistants Maintain cleanliness and organization of the assigned kitchen area and equipment Monitor and manage inventory for your station, ensuring adequate supplies are always available Participate in quality control measures, ensuring consistent food presentation and taste Assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in daily kitchen operations as needed Qualifications Proven experience as a Chef de Partie, Commis Chef, or in a similar culinary role Comprehensive knowledge of various cooking techniques and international cuisines Strong understanding of food safety regulations and sanitation practices Proficiency in menu planning and recipe development Excellent organizational skills with the ability to multitask in a fast-paced environment Strong leadership and team collaboration abilities Effective communication skills in both verbal and written forms Ability to work under pressure and adapt to changing priorities Keen attention to detail in food preparation and presentation Knowledge of kitchen equipment operation and maintenance Culinary degree or relevant certification is preferred but not required Flexibility to work various shifts, including weekends and holidays Additional Information Employee Assistance Programme Discounts available on our Perkbox app (high street shops, holidays & cinema) Ongoing Learning, Development & Training Access to Occupational Health Free Meal on Shift Employment Type: Permanent - Term-time Contract Type.: Full Time Salary: £23,000 - £25,000
