At the 4-star Cabarfeidh Hotel we thoroughly look after our guests, host incredible events and functions and create and serve seriously delicious using locally sources food. The Cabarfeidh is a multi-outlet hotel in Stornoway on the beautiful Outer Hebrides, boasting several dining areas along with a number of function rooms, catering for anything up to 300 covers at a time.

You will be playing a crucial role in maintaining and developing the catering standards of the hotel and helping the team to provide exceptional customer service at all times.

As Chef de Partie you will:
· Have solid and proven experience in working in professional kitchens within busy hotels, restaurants or catering outlets.
· Are equally experienced and comfortable covering breakfast, lunch or dinner shifts as well as contributing to wedding, event and banqueting services.
· Take genuine pride in your work and always have a smile on your face.
· Prepare, cook and present high quality dishes.
· Ensure recipes are followed and food wastage is minimised.
· Help and direct junior colleagues.
· Assist the Sous Chef and Head Chef implementing their vision for the kitchen.
· Ensure meticulous food safety and hygiene standards in the kitchen and adhere to general COSHH, Health & Safety standards and our policies and procedures.
· Respect your fellow colleagues, collaborate with other departments and be a part of one excellent, hard-working and successful team.
The Chef de Partie’s primary role will be preparation, cooking, and presentation of meals in our function rooms and restaurant. Duties associated with this role include helping direct junior staff, working within a professional team, inputting in future menu ideas and enforcing health and hygiene standards in the kitchen.

This is an excellent opportunity for an experienced chef to progress his or her career by working in a high quality hotel kitchen as part of a friendly, welcoming and highly motivated team. This is a full-time position, with 5 out of 7 shifts including working late and weekends and can be available for an immediate start.
Stornoway is the hub and the beating heart of the Isle of Lewis and the Outer Hebrides beyond, well connected to the Scottish Mainland by ferry and plane. If you are looking to relocate to the island, we will be happy to assist you finding your own place to stay. Staff accommodation can also be made available if required.
