CHEF DE PARTIE
Here we have a very exciting opportunity to work alongside renowned chef Hefin Roberts who has taken charge at the Chateau as we embark on a journey to develop our food product and offering.
We are a 27 bedroom 4 star hotel set on the Isle of Anglesey and are now looking for a sous chef to support our award winning head chef. We cater for both hotel residents and non-residents within the restaurant and also for lounge meals and afternoon teas. We cater for weddings from 2 to 100 as well as private dinners and functions. We are having a great year and now need a strong sous to help carry us forward.
The position is full time and hours will include evenings and weekends.
You will be an optimistic and very passionate person who valves their team and its input within the kitchen.
You will work well under pressure and be keen to help chef develop the kitchen at the Chateau.
You will have a minimum of 1-2 year’s experience in a similar position and be an excellent communicator and able to lead the team from the front when require.
JOB DESCRIPTION
Must be able to help and assist the sous chef in head chef’s absence
Carry out menu planning and costing
Able to undertake stock control and staff training
Have an understanding of and maintaining GP margins
Position would suit someone looking to develop their skills in this role
