Coral Sea Resort is seeking a passionate and experienced Chef de Partie to join our dynamic kitchen team. This is a fantastic opportunity to work in a stunning waterfront location, supporting our Executive Chef and Sous Chef in delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

What you’ll do:

  • Support the Executive Chef and/or Sous Chef with menu development, specials, and other strategic initiatives.
  • Maintain a full understanding of menu items and recipes, with a focus on minimising wastage.
  • Prepare and deliver high-quality meals that consistently exceed guest expectations.
  • Uphold hygiene and food safety standards at every stage of food preparation and service.
  • Ensure correct food handling, temperature checks, storage, and sanitation practices.
  • Safely operate kitchen equipment and report any maintenance requirements.
  • Work collaboratively with the kitchen team, showing initiative, passion, and attention to detail.
  • Contribute to a positive, disciplined, and efficient kitchen environment.
  • Adhere to company policies, HR processes, workplace health and safety, and emergency procedures.
  • Carry out additional duties as directed by management.

  • Demonstrated experience as a Chef with leadership responsibilities in a busy kitchen.
  • Strong leadership skills with the ability to communicate, motivate, and build effective teams.
  • Professional, confident, and guest-focused with excellent communication skills.
  • Proactive, solution-focused, and able to work independently when required.
