ABOUT US:

We’re looking for a chef (Commis to CDP level) to join our growing & ambitious team in The Farm Table, our 70 cover fresh food restaurant.
We want someone who’s passionate about seasonality, provenance & sustainability. Our menu evolves each week, championing fruit & veg picked each morning just a few yards away, onsite butchery, cidery, vineyard, apiary, gelato & bean-to-bar chocolatier. We use the Dart’s Farm food hall as our larder, celebrating the very best artisan produce & have the odd foraging outing!
Since opening 3 years ago we have been awarded 1 AA Rosette, Trencherman’s Guide ‘Higher Membership’, Good Food Guide’s ‘Britain’s Top 100 Local Restaurants’ & shortlisted as Restaurant of the Year (outside London) by Food & Travel Magazine.
Both 42 & 48 hour roles available.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • We’re looking for someone who’s genuinely passionate about produce, provenance & sustainability
  • Strong communication & interpersonal skills
  • Curiosity & appetite for learning
  • Ideally 3 years plus in fresh food kitchens
  • A strong Demi to a SCDP would be considered and the role can be negotiated for the right individual, depending on the person and performance on a trial day will depend on the wage and role offered.
    Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
    Pay: £28,000.00-£33,000.00 per year

Responsibilities
  • Participate in weekly menu development
  • Adhere to health & hygiene standards
  • Completing assigned work for the day, MEP List, putting away deliveries, Cleaning and deep cleaning.
  • Stock and equipment management
  • Working with our satellite pizza kitchen to coordinate service
  • Working to agreed costings & plating standards
  • ·Accountability for stock to ensure minimal waste
