What We're Looking For

First Avenue Bar & Cellar is seeking creative, passionate culinary professionals to join our team for our upcoming venue opening. We are looking for individuals with strong kitchen skills, a deep appreciation for fresh ingredients, and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced environment. While previous experience in a premium/high level venue is highly valued, it is not essential. If you are a qualified chef eager to expand your skillset, explore a fresh culinary direction and grow with us, we encourage you to apply.

Key Responsibilities

• Food Preparation - Preparing and cooking food to the highest quality standards, ensuring all dishes are cooked to order and served on time.
• Kitchen Management - Managing the kitchen section, ensuring all equipment is in good working order, and maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
• Team Coordination - Working seamlessly with the culinary team, contributing to the delivery of high-quality food and customer service.
• Safety and Sanitation - Ensuring the kitchen area is safe, clean, and follows the highest standards of sanitation.
• Menu Planning - Assisting with menu planning and development.
• Communication - Communicating clearly with front of house and kitchen leads
• Kitchen Safety - Role modelling and upholding strict food safety and cleanliness standards across the kitchen.
