The Eyre Square Hotel is looking for a passionate experienced Chef to join a driven and hardworking team. The Chef position will involve working closely with the other Chefs and would suit an experienced commis chef or existing chef de partie looking to progress their cookery and menu skills.
We focus on a high standard of food quality, presentation, flavor, freshness and service. The successful candidate will enjoy working in a busy, vibrant and diverse environment and have a very strong passion for tasty and vibrant food.

SUMMARY OF KEY ACTIVITIES

  • Prepare food to the highest standard, food quality, presentation and service
  • Follow recipes and presentation specs
  • Daily setup and preparation required for a smooth and successful service
  • Assist the Chefs team in overseeing menu and food offering, work to enhance the guest experience with a well-considered menu delivering passion & creativity on the plate
  • Adhere to all food hygiene and safety standards
  • Management of HACCP and health and safety in the kitchen
  • Maintain high standards in stock control, portion control and quality control
  • Handle any complaints and report to Head Chef
  • Liaise with other departments as and when necessary
  • Work pro-rata over 7 days in line with business needs

EXPERIENCE AND SKILLS

  • Minimum 1 years’ experience in a busy kitchen in a Commis chef role or as a chef de partie
  • Candidate must be able be able to demonstrate a good work ethic and team player characteristics
  • Knowledge of HAACP
  • Fluent in English
