As a Chef you will work as an integral part of our kitchen team, assisting with food preparation and ensuring the smooth operation of the kitchen. This role is ideal for individuals with a passion for cooking who are eager to gain experience working under the Head Chef and grow in their culinary career. Previous experience as a Chef De Partie would be ideal

QUALIFICATIONS/EXPERIENCE

  • a good knowledge of nutritionally balanced menu planning and a proven ability to cater for specific dietary needs.
  • experience of stock control (essential) and working with a budget (preferred).
  • Food Hygiene Certificate (minimum level 2).

Responsibilities
  • Assisting the Head Chef in the preparation and cooking of high quality meals in line with our culinary standards.
  • Helping the Head Chef to ensure that deadlines are met and taking control of the running of the kitchen in their absence.
  • Using modern kitchen equipment and fresh local produce to develop full diet sensitive meals for residents.
  • Participating in the cleaning schedules following strict food safety and hygiene guidelines.
  • Working collaboratively with other kitchen staff to ensure efficient service during busy periods.
  • Working closely with the care staff and consulting with residents to understand their dietary needs and choices are met, including allergens, nutritional needs, and personal preferences.
  • Continuously developing your culinary skills and knowledge under the supervision of the Head Chef.
