JOB SUMMARY

We are seeking a skilled Chef de Partie to join our team at The Five Bells. Our kitchen is a great space currently led by a Head Chef and Owner Duncan Jones. We are looking to continue to grow our business out as we move into our sixth year.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Previous experience in a restaurant or kitchen environment is preferred but not essential; a willingness to learn is crucial.
  • Strong understanding of food preparation techniques and food safety standards.
  • Excellent team management skills with the ability to work collaboratively in a busy kitchen setting.
  • Leadership qualities that enable you to supervise junior staff effectively when necessary.
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to develop culinary skills further within a professional setting.
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail in food presentation and hygiene practices.

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

We are looking for a chef de partie with a fresh food background to run a key section in the kitchen. you will run the kitchen section, you will ensure your fridge is ready for service, prep your dishes ingredients. you will cook in service and present your dishes to the pass on time. this role will include all the standard chef de partie duties.

DUTIES

  • Assist in the preparation and cooking of various dishes, ensuring all food is prepared to the highest quality standards.
  • Support senior kitchen staff in food production tasks, including chopping, mixing, and cooking ingredients as directed.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring all utensils and equipment are properly cleaned and stored.
  • Follow food safety guidelines strictly to ensure the health and safety of all staff and customers.
  • Participate in inventory management by helping to track stock levels and report any shortages to the kitchen manager.
  • Collaborate with team members to ensure efficient service during peak hours, demonstrating strong teamwork skills.
  • Take on supervisory responsibilities when required, assisting in training new kitchen staff and providing guidance as needed.
