The North Fitzroy Arms is seeking an experienced Chef de Partie / Grill Chef for our buzzing food & wine focussed neighbourhood pub.

ABOUT US:

Our newly re-opened pub has welcomed guests to the back streets of North Fitzroy for 150 years now, and to continue that tradition, we are in search of genuine hospitality professionals whom are kind, professional, and passionate about the Hotel’s new direction.

Position Requirements:

• Work alongside and take direction from the Head Chef
• Assist in all aspects of food preparation
• Keep up in a fast paced establishment
• Maintain a high quality of food preparation during busy service periods including cooking high quaility, consistent food on a charcoal grill
• Understand and execute food safety standard

This role is accompanied by the support and leadership of our motivated Head Chef, with their finger on the pulse of the hospitality scene. You will have the opportunity to create and contribute to a great dining experience and develop your professional culinary career.

You will possess:

• High food standards
• Minimum 3 years experience in a busy kitchen with proficient knife skills and at least 2 years experience running a busy grill section
• Professional verbal communication skills, including great rostering availability communication.
• Impeccable hygiene, grooming and presentation
• Strong work ethic and positive attitude
