Responsibilities
  • Manage a specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pastry, sauce, fish, etc.).
  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes according to the restaurant’s menu standards.
  • Oversee the day-to-day operations of the designated station, ensuring consistency and quality.
  • Ensure all food is prepared and cooked to the required temperature and presentation standards.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen and workstations.
  • Supervise junior kitchen staff and assist in their training.
  • Monitor and maintain inventory levels for ingredients specific to the section.
  • Assist in menu preparation and recipe development.
  • Ensure that health and safety standards are followed, including food safety and hygiene practices.
  • Support other kitchen stations as required, especially during busy service periods.
  • Skills:
  • Expertise in the specific section of the kitchen (e.g., grill, pastry, etc.).
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, high-pressure environment.
  • Strong organizational skills and attention to detail.
  • Excellent cooking skills with knowledge of food preparation, cooking techniques, and plating.
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.
  • Strong communication and leadership skills to guide junior staff.
  • Knowledge of food safety and hygiene regulations
