As a Chef De Partie, you will be a key pillar of our kitchen teams, helping deliver consistently exceptional food experiences across our restaurants. With at least 4 years of kitchen experience, ideally in high-volume restaurants or hotels, you’re skilled in managing production, ensuring quality, and delivering exceptional results. You’re comfortable working across all kitchen sections, have a deep knowledge of food and beverage, and are always looking for ways to improve and innovate. Strong communication and leadership skills are second nature to you, and you know how to keep a positive, high-energy kitchen environment. YOUR TEAM You’ll work alongside the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, and Executive Chef, collaborating to elevate the culinary experience at The Bombay Canteen and O Pedro. Together, you’ll create an environment that fosters creativity, precision, and excellence in every dish. WHO YOU WILL REPORT TO You’ll report directly to the Sous Chef, Chef de Cuisine, or Executive Chef, all of whom share your passion for culinary innovation and team development. YOU WILL BE RESPONSIBLE FOR Kitchen Operations: Supporting the Sous Chef and Executive Chef to ensure efficient, high-standard kitchen operations, including production, hygiene, safety, and staff management. Team Leadership: Guiding and mentoring Commis chefs, ensuring smooth food production and fostering a collaborative and positive work environment. Menu Development: Assisting in planning and executing new menus, drawing inspiration from seasonal ingredients and global trends. Staff Training: Training, motivating, and coaching new and existing team members, ensuring they meet performance standards. Food Costing & Inventory: Collaborating with the Purchase and Stewarding teams to monitor inventory, manage food costs, and ensure quality control. Rosters & Scheduling: Managing team rosters, ensuring appropriate staffing levels, and overseeing production and cleaning schedules. Guest Engagement: Incorporating feedback from guests and staff to improve menu offerings and enhance the overall dining experience. Cross-Sectional Flexibility: Being adaptable and ready to work in any section of the kitchen as required, ensuring consistency and quality. SKILLS & EXPERIENCE At least 4 years of experience in a high-volume kitchen, preferably in fine dining restaurants or hotels. Certification from a culinary school or equivalent training. Strong communication and leadership skills, with the ability to manage and motivate a diverse team. Ability to handle pressure and remain composed in a fast-paced, high-stress environment. Familiarity with restaurant software (POS, reservation systems, reporting tools, checklists) is a plus. Responsibilities
