Responsibilities

JOB PURPOSE SUMMARY

To ensure the smooth & efficient running of all sections in the kitchen in conjunction with the Head Chef & Sous Chef, ensuring that all company policies and procedures are adhered to at all times and be committed to providing the highest standards of food cooking, preparation, quality & cleanliness.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES & ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Ensure that all food and associated products are prepared, cooked, served and presented to the highest standard
  • Ensure all Health & Safety and Kitchen paperwork is completed and filed in a timely and accurate manner in line with the company guidelines in absence of ahead/Sous chef.
  • Be aware of and adhere to Health & Safety at Work and COSHH legislation at all times
  • Ensure the kitchen is kept clean and hygienic at all times
  • Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef in all processes relating to deliveries including checking in the orders, storage, stock rotation, security, loss investigation and staff training
  • Assist the Head Chef & Sous Chef in all processes relating to stock management including stock counts
  • Take an active role in all staff meetings
  • Responsible for ensuring you are wearing the correct, clean uniform at all times
