JOB SUMMARY

We are looking for a reliable and enthusiastic Chef de Partie / Kitchen Porter to join our dynamic kitchen team. This hybrid role is ideal for someone with strong culinary skills who is also willing to support back-of-house operations to maintain high kitchen standards. You will run a specific section in the kitchen while also helping with general cleaning, dishwashing, and basic food preparation as needed.

Responsibilities

CHEF DE PARTIE DUTIES:

  • Prepare, cook, and present dishes within your section to a high standard.
  • Ensure consistent quality and presentation in line with the kitchen’s standards.
  • Monitor portion and waste control to maintain profit margins.
  • Assist with the development of new dishes and menus.
  • Maintain hygiene, health, and safety standards in the kitchen at all times.
  • Train and supervise commis chefs and junior staff when required.

KITCHEN PORTER DUTIES:

  • Wash dishes, utensils, pots, and pans efficiently and maintain cleanliness.
  • Clean food preparation areas and equipment regularly.
  • Unpack and store deliveries in the correct locations.
  • Dispose of rubbish following food hygiene and safety regulations.
  • Support chefs with basic food preparation tasks, such as peeling and chopping.
  • Ensure compliance with health and safety and food hygiene policies.
