Are you passionate about delivering high-quality dishes? Mary Mount Hotel is looking for a Chef de Partie who will oversee a specific section in the kitchen, whilst reporting to and supporting your senior Chefs.

QUALIFICATIONS

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen environment.
  • Strong culinary skills with a focus on meal preparation and food safety standards.
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable.
  • Ability to work collaboratively in a fast-paced kitchen setting.
  • Knowledge of serving techniques and customer service principles.
  • Relevant certifications in food handling and safety are a plus.
Responsibilities

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Prepare, cook, and present high-quality dishes in your section
  • Support health and safety and food hygiene practices
  • Maintain kitchen cleanliness and food safety standards
  • Anticipate and exceed guest expectations
  • Participate in team meetings, promoting clear communication of goals
  • Receive and unpack deliveries
  • Clean and sanitise kitchen areas, ensuring organisation of storage
  • Monitor portion control and waste management
  • Ensure fast, efficient service in line with departmental standards

PERSONAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Maintain a neat uniform and professional grooming
  • Promote good timekeeping, flexibility, and morale
  • Participate in training and team activities
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure guest satisfaction
  • Provide feedback to Senior Manager on areas for improvement

FINANCIAL RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Monitor portion and waste control to ensure cost-efficiency.
