As a Chef de Partie at Marygreen Manor, you will play a vital role in our kitchen team, ensuring the seamless preparation and delivery of our exquisite dishes. Your responsibilities will include:

  • Strong Pastry Skills
  • Preparing and leading your section diligently and efficiently for service.
  • Cooking food to the highest standards in a timely manner, adhering to our quality standards.
  • Collaborating with service staff to communicate daily specials and ensure a smooth service flow.
  • Ensuring impeccable plate presentation, reflecting our commitment to excellence.
  • Monitoring food freshness and promptly discarding expired items.
  • Supervising and mentoring junior staff members as needed.
  • Maintaining strict compliance with all health and safety regulations within the kitchen area.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Proven quality experience in Pastry environment
  • Proven work experience as a Chef or Cook in a reputable establishment.
  • Hygiene Qualification is essential.
  • Hands-on experience with various kitchen equipment, demonstrating proficiency and versatility.
  • Advanced knowledge of culinary, baking, and pastry techniques, with a passion for culinary innovation.
  • Ability to remain composed and efficient under pressure, managing multiple tasks with ease.
  • Excellent time management skills, ensuring efficient workflow and timely service.
  • Up-to-date knowledge of cooking techniques and recipes, coupled with a commitment to continuous learning and improvement.
  • Familiarity with Hygiene and Health & Safety regulations, prioritizing cleanliness and safety in the kitchen environment.
  • Allergy Awareness certification is preferred.
