The ideal candidate will have a passion for food and cooking, with the ability to prepare high-quality meals in a fast-paced environment. As a Line Cook, you will play a crucial role in ensuring that our kitchen operates smoothly and efficiently, delivering exceptional dining experiences to our guests.

SKILLS

  • Proven experience in food preparation and cooking within a professional kitchen setting
  • Strong knowledge of culinary techniques and meal preparation methods
  • Familiarity with food safety standards and best practices
  • Previous restaurant experience is highly desirable
  • Ability to work efficiently under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
  • Attention to detail and high standards of presentation, creative flair and imagination.
  • Excellent teamwork skills with the ability to communicate effectively in a busy environment
  • A passion for cooking and a desire to learn new skills within the culinary field

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards
  • ⁠Optimising the cooking processes with attention to speed, quality and delivery
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and measuring
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen area, ensuring compliance with food safety regulations
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely meal preparation and service
  • Monitor food quality during cooking and presentation, making adjustments as necessary
  • Assist in inventory management by tracking stock levels and reporting shortages
  • Enforcing strict health and hygiene standards and maintaining impeccable quality standards within the kitchen and service areas at all times, including overseeing a weekly deep cleaning schedule.
  • Compliance with all legislation and store operating guidelines.
