  • Prepare and cook high-quality meals for patients, visitors and staff, following agreed recipes, dietary requirements and production schedules.
  • Support the delivery of safe, hygienic and efficient food services in line with food safety legislation, company policies and hospital standards.
  • Monitor food quality, portion control and presentation to ensure an excellent dining experience.
  • Complete and maintain all required food safety, temperature and quality assurance records accurately.
  • Assist with stock control, stock rotation, ordering, deliveries and inventory checks to minimise waste and maintain availability.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness and organisation across all kitchen, storage and service areas.
  • Support meal service operations and work collaboratively with colleagues to ensure services are delivered on time.
  • Help train and support team members, while contributing to a positive, inclusive and customer-focused environment.
  • What you bring:Previous experience in a Chef de Partie or similar catering role, ideally within healthcare, hospitality or contract catering.
  • Strong food preparation, cooking and presentation skills with attention to quality and consistency.
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene and health & safety regulations.
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (or equivalent), with relevant catering qualifications such as City & Guilds 706/1 & 2 or equivalent.
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills, with a professional and approachable manner.
  • Strong organisational skills and the ability to prioritise tasks in a fast-paced environment.
  • A proactive, flexible and team-oriented approach, with the ability to support colleagues and adapt to changing business needs.
  • Awareness of stock management, waste reduction and cost control principles.
