We are currently looking for a Pastry Chef de Partie who will be responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen while working closely with the Head Chef and Sous Chef to deliver an excellent customer experience.

JOB DESCRIPTION

• Organizes shifting in the section with regard to mise en place production and its service.
• Liaisons with purchasing department to ensure all the items used in the pastry kitchen are of best quality and always opt to bring new ingredients or better quality produce.
• Checks on a daily basis food preparation regarding portion size, quantity and quality as laid down in the recipe index.
• Responsible for completing the daily checklist regarding mise en place and food storage.
• Assist Head/Sous Chef with preparation of Pastry production.
• Ensure that food handling and hygiene regulations are followed in accordance with Dubai Municipality standards.
• Ensure that the quality, quantity, and correctness of food items served and displayed are as per the company’s and Chef’s standard recipes.
• Checks Demi Chefs/Commis Chefs on his/her section: e.g personal hygiene.
• Other tasks as assigned.

QUALIFICATIONS

• Minimum experience of 3-5 years in the kitchen
• Experience working in a multi-cultural environment
• Organized and well planned
• Able to work with speed and efficiency throughout maintaining positive attitude
