Description

We are looking for an experienced, motivated Line Chef to join our kitchen team and support our Head Chef in delivering high-quality food at pace. You will play a key role in daily service, prep, and upholding hygiene and food safety standards, while contributing to the smooth running of a fast-paced, dynamic kitchen.
Our venue operates at high volume during summer months, weekends, and the busy festive season, so this role requires someone with strong time management, a calm attitude under pressure, and an eye for consistency in presentation and quality.
The kitchen team works closely with the Head Chef who is managed by the General Manager to ensure we meet business targets, including increasing our GP (gross profit) through efficient prep, reduced waste, and smart portioning. We expect all chefs to contribute to this goal by working cleanly, using ingredients wisely, and helping drive kitchen standards forward.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes to specification, maintaining consistency in taste, presentation, and portion control.
  • Ensure food is prepared and served promptly during busy service times.
  • Follow all food safety, hygiene, and allergen procedures in line with current legislation.
  • Maintain a clean and well-organised station at all times.
  • Support the Head Chef in stock rotation, deliveries, and prep list completion.
  • Uphold standards and contribute positively to the kitchen team culture.
  • Communicate clearly with other kitchen and front-of-house staff to ensure smooth service.
  • Take ownership of your section and respond proactively to feedback and direction.

What We’re Looking For

  • Experience working in a professional kitchen, ideally in high-volume settings.
  • Understanding of food safety standards and allergen management.
  • Ability to work quickly and cleanly without compromising on quality.
  • A collaborative mindset and willingness to support the wider team.
  • A passion for food, attention to detail, and pride in plate presentation.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and bank holidays as required
