About the role

We are seeking an enthusiastic Chef or Cook to work with us as we expand our venue. You will have the opportunity to work in a creative garden cafe where fresh produce is at the forefront of our cooking, to play a key role in crafting beautifully presented dishes, and to assist in creating seasonal menus that reflect our garden to plate style.

Key responsibilities

  • Working in conjunction with the team to plan and cost our seasonal menu.
  • Prepare and present dishes that reflect both beauty and flavour.
  • Assisting with functions and catering.
  • Manage inventory and place orders to ensure stock levels are maintained
  • Work alongside kitchen staff, offering guidance and training as necessary.
  • Maintain high standards of cleanliness & safety in the kitchen.
  • Develop industry trends further, incorporating them into our offerings.
  • Communicate regularly with the café owner to discuss improvements and customer feedback.

About you

  • A strong leader defined by patience, fortitude and responsibility.
  • Passion for the hospitality industry with a strong focus on customer satisfaction.
  • Experience working in a busy kitchen environment.
  • Creativity and a boundless love for cooking with a commitment to excellence.
  • Certificate III and IV in Commercial Cooking.
  • Flexibility to work weekdays and weekends.
  • Well-presented and professional demeanour.
