Chef De Partie
Sheppy’s House of Cider was developed in 2017 as a visitor attraction including farm shop, cafe, restaurant and bar. It is establishing its position as Somerset’s premier cider destination, serving tourists and locals alike with a first class experience in all public areas, based on a high level of customer care and attention to detail.
The facility is open seven days a week and our opening hours are 9 am to 5 pm.
There will be times through the year where we have events booked and you will be required to work evenings as and when the business requires.
Closed: Christmas Day, Boxing Day, New Year’s Day.
This post requires 18-24 hours per week, throughout the year, including Bank Holidays and school holidays.

THE SUCCESSFUL APPLICANT MAY HAVE ALL OR SOME OF THE FOLLOWING ACCORDING TO EXPERIENCE:

  • Proven experience in a busy, fast-paced kitchen
  • Excellent skills with a variety of cooking methods, ingredients, equipment and processes
  • Ability to maintain calm and efficient under pressure
  • An appreciation of best practice with knowledge of new styles and trends
  • High standards relating to food presentation, with imagination and attention to detail
  • A disciplined and organised style of working
  • Reliability, patience and flexibility to grow and develop with the business
  • Enthusiasm, with a cheerful disposition as part of a team
  • The relevant professional qualifications in cooking/catering and food hygiene to perform this role
  • Level 2 as a minimum in food hygiene
    The post-holder will report to the Head Chef.
