BUSINESS DESCRIPTION:

Family run, the Sibton White Horse has an enviable reputation for some of the finest food in the area. The inn resides in the small pretty village of Sibton, just a short drive from the A12 at Yoxford. The property with its amazing character and charm welcomes local drinkers, destination diners and overnight guests staying in five most attractive bedrooms. The restaurant has 38 covers (no turning tables). All our dishes are produced in house, incorporating fresh seasonal produce, sourced locally when possible, including from our own kitchen garden. The kitchen has maintained 2 AA Rosettes for many years.

JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a chef to work within our small team. You will have had some experience, preferably in a similar operation and be looking to establish yourself further in the field of cooking. You will be highly self motivated, flexible with a friendly and approachable manner. This is an opportunity for a chef to grow their culinary skills whilst enjoying the benefits of working in a close-knit team.

Other responsibilities will include but not limited to:

  • Having input into creating frequently changing menus.
  • Working cleanly and effectively.
  • Controlling and minimising waste.
  • Maintaining high food and hygiene standards.

Other information:

  • Generous tips shared equally between FOH and BOH staff.
  • We believe in quality over quantity, max 38 covers.
  • 28 days holiday including bank holidays
  • Guaranteed Christmas Day and Boxing Day off
  • No breakfast shift.
  • Shifts to be decided.
  • 4 or 5 day week
  • Own transport required
