Full job description

A Catering Head Chef, also known as an Executive Chef or Chef de Cuisine, is in charge of overseeing the food preparation and Cost Management in the Labor Camp operations.

Here's a detailed job description:

Key Responsibilities

1. Menu Planning: Creates and plans menus for catering events, considering factors like dietary restrictions, event themes, and client preferences.

2. Kitchen Management: Oversees the catering kitchen, ensuring it runs smoothly, efficiently, and safely.

3. Food Preparation: Prepares and presents high-quality food, adhering to culinary standards and presentation guidelines.

4. Team Leadership: Supervises and trains a team of chefs, cooks, and kitchen staff, providing guidance and support to ensure excellent food quality and presentation.

5. Food Safety and Hygiene: Maintains high standards of food safety and hygiene, adhering to health and safety regulations.

6. Budgeting and Cost Control: Manages food costs, labor costs, and other expenses to ensure profitability and stay within budget.

Requirements and Skills

1. Culinary Education: Formal culinary training or equivalent experience.

2. Experience: Proven experience as a chef or kitchen manager in a catering or hospitality environment.

3. Leadership Skills: Strong leadership and team management skills.

4. Communication Skills: Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.

5. Creativity: Ability to create innovative and appealing menus.

6. Attention to Detail: Meticulous attention to detail in food preparation and presentation.

Work Environment

1. Catering Kitchen: Works in a fast-paced & high volume catering kitchen environment.

2. Team Collaboration: Collaborates with other chefs, kitchen staff, and event coordinators to ensure successful events

Job Types: Full-time, Permanent

Pay: From AED8,000.00 per month
