Chef de Partie – Create Exceptional Food at Wellington CollegeLocation: Wellington College, Duke's Ride, Crowthorne, Berkshire, RG45 7PU

Salary: £14.65 per hour + Excellent Benefits

Contract: Permanent, Term Time Only – 34 weeks

Hours: 40 hours per week

Working Pattern: 5 out of 7 days (including some weekend working)

  • Ensure all dishes are prepared with care and attention, including catering for special dietary requirements and allergens
  • Support smooth service periods by ensuring food is replenished and presented to a high standard
  • Maintain excellent standards of food safety, hygiene, and kitchen cleanliness in line with company and statutory requirements
  • Assist with catering for functions, events, and special occasions
  • Work collaboratively with the Executive Head Chef and wider kitchen team to deliver an outstanding catering service
  • Contribute ideas and suggestions to future menus and food development
  • Support stock management, ordering processes, and kitchen administration when required
  • Build positive relationships with colleagues, customers, and school stakeholders
  • Report any compliments, complaints, incidents, or areas for improvement appropriately
  • What You BringEssentialExperience working in a Chef de Partie or similar role within a professional catering environment
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to delivering high standards
  • Ability to work effectively in a busy kitchen environment
  • Good understanding of food safety, hygiene, and health and safety regulations
  • Experience preparing fresh food and working with a variety of ingredients
  • Basic Food Hygiene and Health & Safety certificates
  • Desirable:Experience within an education, hospitality, or high-volume catering environment
  • Experience supporting or developing other team members
  • Knowledge and experience of pastry
  • Experience managing customer or client relationships
