Role Overview
We are seeking an experienced Chef de Partie to join our kitchen brigade. You will oversee a specific section of the kitchen, ensuring dishes are prepared to the highest standards and true to authentic Mexican cuisine. This is a hands-on role where creativity, precision, and teamwork are essential.

Key Responsibilities

  • Prepare and cook dishes from your assigned section, ensuring authenticity and consistency.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef and Head Chef to maintain quality and presentation standards.
  • Assist in menu development with a focus on Mexican ingredients, flavors, and techniques.
  • Ensure all food preparation meets health, safety, and hygiene standards.
  • Manage stock control, minimize waste, and support ordering processes.
  • Train, mentor, and support junior staff in your section.
  • Collaborate with the wider kitchen team to ensure smooth service during busy shifts.

Requirements

  • Previous experience as a Chef de Partie or strong Commis Chef experience in a busy kitchen.
  • Knowledge and passion for Mexican cuisine (e.g., tacos, moles, salsas, traditional cooking techniques).
  • Ability to work under pressure and maintain attention to detail.
  • Strong organizational and communication skills.
  • A team player with a positive, professional attitude.
  • Food safety and hygiene certification preferred.
  • Must hold a valid full-time work visa that allows employment for the full year.
