We’re offering a rare opportunity for a new member of staff to complement our existing brigade of chefs. We’re looking for a chef de partie to add to a large team of chefs responsible for producing fine dining food in a riverside restaurant and functions room in the centre of durham city. Our menus are monthly and our focus is on producing high quality food with seasonal ingredients.
Hours are flexible, as are schedules and days off. We’re happy to work around you and implement your ideal shift pattern. Most chefs work 3-4 days and take 3-4 days off however we’ll happily consider a different working pattern to suit your needs. Weekly Hours are entirely dependant on what you prefer to work, with a minimum of 30 hours available up to whatever level you feel comfortable working. Our primary concern is ensuring your happiness and well-being so that we can get the best out of you. A variety of perks include a share of gratuities (approx. £3 per hour) free staff meals, discounts on dining in, complimentary drinks and various other benefits.
The ideal candidate will have prior experience in a fine dining environment but most of all a keen desire to learn and adapt to new styles and techniques.
