DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking a dedicated and passionate Chef de Partie to join the team at Sunset Lounge, our Employee Dining Room at the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre (GCCEC). In this dynamic role, you will manage and monitor food production to the highest standards, ensuring the efficient and smooth operation of the kitchen and dining area.
A unique opportunity exists for a passionate and dedicated Chef de Partie to join the team running our Sunset Lounge – Employee Dining Room. We are seeking someone who possesses a creative flair and a meticulous approach in delivering high quality cuisine to join our award-winning team.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES OF THIS ROLE INCLUDE:

Overseeing food preparation and service, ensuring the highest standards of quality and presentation.
Managing temperature control logs for food safety and ensuring strict adherence to food hygiene and handling protocols.
Supervising kitchen service attendants and ensuring the efficient completion of their daily tasks.
Ordering food, maintaining stock rotation, and ensuring proper storage of food products.
Assisting with menu planning by incorporating variety and accommodating dietary requirements.
Ensuring a clean and safe kitchen environment by effectively managing the cleaning schedule and operational processes.
Overseeing set-up and shutdown of the food service area.

THE IDEAL CANDIDATE FOR THIS ROLE WILL HAVE:

A Certificate III or IV in Commercial Cookery, and Food Safety Supervisor certification are essential.
Experience in a 5-star property or similar environment, along with prior experience in food delivery for banquets, is highly advantageous.
Strong knowledge of food products, stock rotation, and food hygiene regulations.
Proven experience in food preparation, presentation, and cooking techniques, ensuring consistency and quality.
Ability to supervise and guide a team, ensuring tasks are carried out efficiently and to the highest standard.
Excellent multitasking skills with the ability to maintain a calm under pressure, ensuring smooth kitchen operations.
