About Mill Hill School
Mill Hill is the flagship school within the Mill Hill Education Group, the UK’s fastest growing non-profit family of independent schools. We are a traditional senior school serving pupils from Years 9 to 13, although we work closely with our prep school Belmont (years 3-8), particularly at KS3. We are a co-educational day and boarding school, with approximately 800 day pupils and 100 boarders.
Mill Hill is the school of choice for many families in London and around the UK. We are academically aspirational, with over half of all grades at A Level at A*-A and two-thirds 9-7 at GCSE. We also have a rich and varied co-curricular programme – recognised as sector-leading by ISI – and outstanding pastoral care through our House system.
We are blessed at Mill Hill with amazing grounds, dedicated staff and brilliant pupils. Our setting on the edge of London gives us a beautiful environment in which to learn, whilst keeping us connected to the city. There are few better schools to build your career at than Mill Hill, where you will have the professional freedom and support you need to grow and flourish as a teacher.
Why choose The Mill Hill Education Group?

Mill Hill Education Group (MHEG) is a fast-growing collection of not-for-profit independent schools. Our charitable aims of ‘instilling values and inspiring minds’ have been a key focus since founding our first school - Mill Hill in 1807. All our schools share an educational philosophy around developing reflective, responsible pupils with a global outlook. School life combines academic rigour with a breadth of wider opportunities which build confidence and promote a love of learning. Some key aspects of MHEG are;

  • We educate boys and girls from 3–18, seeking to equip them for life, both now and in the future.
  • Our stimulating academic environment and numerous activities outside the classroom encourage learning and personal growth.
  • We are committed to the development of every pupil and believe that our friendly and supportive community helps this to happen.
  • We seek as a group to instil a love for learning which will last a life time whilst balancing this with a readiness to embrace change.
