ABOUT THE ROLE:

Perched in the village of Crawfordsburn with fabulous views of the country park, The Old Inn is the perfect rural retreat. A new addition to the Galgorm Collection family this beautiful hotel is located just 10 minutes from Belfast and 5 minutes from the seaside town of Bangor. The Old Inn is bursting with character - think cosy corners, log fires, mini spa, glorious grub, and elegant interiors!
We are seeking to add a new chef to our dedicated, dynamic kitchen team. This is an amazing opportunity for a passionate, hardworking chef to prepare and cook with the best locally sourced produce, progress in their careers, and join an award-winning company!

MAIN DUTIES WILL INCLUDE BUT ARE NOT LIMITED TO:

  • The preparation of local fresh produce and cooking of various cuisines to a very high standard.
  • Running a kitchen section and taking responsibility for all dishes in your section ensuring consistent presentation every time.
  • Ensuring all meals are delivered on time.
  • Manage food standards and quality across all stages of food preparation and production ensuring high standards are consistently met.
  • Working alongside the Head Chef and team to create and develop daily and weekly specials.
  • Assist in the training and development of junior chefs.
  • Ensuring minimum wastage and implementing new ideas for reducing wastage.
  • Working within and maintaining all associated Health, Safety, and Hygiene guidelines/procedures while working.
  • Comply with company food safety policies and legislation.
  • Maintain high levels of cleanliness at all times, making sure your personal appearance and uniform are in line with the required Resort standards at all times.
