JOB SUMMARY

The recently opened “Tap-In” at St Cuthbert Golf Club are seeking a skilled and passionate chef to join our dynamic kitchen team. Offering a great work/life balance as food is served until 7pm daily.
The ideal candidate will have a strong background in food preparation, preparing and cooking hot and cold starters, a basic knowledge of pastry would be an advantage but not essential and a commitment to food safety and quality.

EXPERIENCE

  • Previous experience as a chef/CDP or aspirations to become one
  • Knowledge of food safety regulations and best practices in meal preparation.
  • Familiarity with various cooking techniques and equipment used in a professional kitchen.
  • Strong teamwork skills with the ability to work efficiently under pressure.
  • A passion for culinary arts and a desire to learn and grow within the restaurant industry.

Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook menu items according to established recipes and standards.
  • Ensure all food safety regulations are followed, maintaining a clean and organised kitchen environment.
  • Assist in the preparation of ingredients, including chopping, marinating, and seasoning.
  • Collaborate with other kitchen staff to ensure timely service during busy periods.
  • Monitor stock levels of ingredients and communicate needs to the kitchen manager.
  • Maintain cleanliness and organisation of the kitchen, including equipment and workstations.
  • Help train new kitchen staff on proper cooking techniques and safety practices.
