Position: As a Chef De Partie , you will play a key role in in executing the following duties - Prepare and cook menu items according to recipes and quality standards - Follow proper food handling and safety procedures - Maintain cleanliness and organization of the kitchen area - Assist with inventory management and stock rotation - Collaborate with the culinary team to ensure timely and efficient service - Monitor food quality and presentation - Contribute their thoughts and ideas in coming up with seasonal delicious dishesQualifications: Qualifications: Food safe level 1 required. Preference will be given to those with previous resort experience, Serving It Right and/or other related certifications. Additional Requirements This is a seasonal position based on Haida Gwaii, British Columbia. Contracts run from May to mid-September, totaling approximately 3.5 months. Room and board are provided, as well as flights to and from Vancouver. Previous experience working in a fast-paced food service environment and/or in a fine dining establishment Knowledge of food preparation techniques and culinary terminology Ability to work well under pressure and meet deadlines Strong attention to detail and organizational skills Open to learning about food, different culinary cultures, and their influence on modern cooking Excellent communication and teamwork abilities Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as needed Please note that this is not an exhaustive list of duties and requirements. The Chef de Tournant will be expected to perform additional tasks as assigned by the management team.
