Chef de Partie
We are currently looking for a talented individual with a passion in cooking and working in a buzzing kitchen environment to join the team as a Chef de Partie. This is an ideal role for a Chef de Partie looking for a new challenge or an experienced Demi Chef de Partie looking for career progression.
The successful candidate will receive the following benefits:
The Chef de Partie will assist the Head Chef and Sous Chef in ensuring that all duties within the Kitchen are carried out according to the procures set out by Health and Safety Laws and the Union Jack Club standards.
The Chef de Partie will be responsible for:
Running a section but may be required to assist with food preparation of other sections. Assisting with stocktaking, management of kitchen hygiene, food storage and supervising Commis Chefs.
Working effectively within the Kitchen Brigade to ensure high level of service standards Checking that all food is stored and used in rotation to eliminate wastage and adhere to the Health and Hygiene Laws
Following close down procedure at the end of shift to ensure safety of equipment and security of produce is maintained
The Chef de Partie will be responsible for Commis Chef and should be aware of emergency, safety and first aid procedures and to report all accidents to the Duty Manager
The ideal candidate should have:
Level 3 in Food production or other related culinary skills qualification Previous Chef de Partie experience in hospitality organisation preferably 4/5 star hotel restaurant or an experienced Demi Chef de Partie
Excellent communication skills and enjoys motivating the team Excellent awareness of food hygiene standards.
The Union Jack Club is a Service Charity located in central London, next to Waterloo Station, providing all the facilities of a modern hotel to serving and former members of the Armed Forces and their families.
