JOIN OUR CATERING TEAM AT UPMINSTER GOLF CLUB AS A FULL-TIME CHEF DE PARTIE

Location: Upminster, Essex
Hours: Full-time, 40 hours per week
Salary: £30,000 – £34,000 per annum (dependent on experience)
Availability: Weekend work required (rota-based)

With a growing demand for high-quality dining experiences, we are expanding our kitchen brigade and looking for a dedicated Chef de Partie to join our professional culinary team.
Our clubhouse caters for a wide variety of events including members’ dining, corporate functions, and seasonal celebrations. We pride ourselves on delivering high standards of food, service, and presentation – and we’re looking for someone who shares our passion for excellence.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Minimum 2 years’ experience in a professional kitchen (CDP or strong Commis/Demi ready to step up)
  • Strong cooking skills and a passion for food
  • Organised, clean and able to work well under pressure
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends
  • Level 2 Food Hygiene Certificate (preferred)

Responsibilities

THE ROLE

As a Chef de Partie, you will be a key part of our kitchen operation, working under the guidance of our Head Chef to produce consistent, high-quality dishes across all sections. This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate, organised, and career-driven chef who wants to work in a structured, supportive environment with room to grow.

RESPONSIBILITIES INCLUDE:

  • Preparing and presenting dishes to a high standard
  • Ensuring food is cooked and served in a timely and efficient manner
  • Maintaining cleanliness and hygiene in your section in line with food safety standards
  • Assisting in the development of menus and daily specials
  • Collaborating with the wider team to ensure smooth kitchen operations
  • Taking responsibility alongside the Head Chef during service
  • Opportunities for progression and further training
