Become a part of a growing business that is food focused. With a Head Chef and General manager passionate about food and food development this is the perfect pub for any budding Chef de Parties. We are looking for someone who is confident in the kitchen, fiery about food and a real team player. With full control over our menus, specials and presentation we need a chef with creative flare, willing to develop dishes and aid our Head Chef with menu ideas.
Our food vision is ‘every elevated’, think pub classics with flare. Sustainably, locally sourced seasonal ingredients are at the heart of our menu and always will be. Sunday’s are the soul of our pub so a passion for roasts, gravy and the largest yorkshires is desired.
As part of this role we will be training in house and externally to become a Sous Chef. As our business develops we envisage a real drive around food and therefore this is the perfect opportunity to grow and develop as a chef as well as your career. Young’s one of a kind training and development courses will also be available from Sunday roast training to feathered, game and bird sessions created to inspire, develop and train.
This role requires, evening and weekend working, with a 35 hour contract. We are looking for the right fit for our pub and are flexiable to these contracted hours in order to fit personal needs.
WHAT WE LOOK FOR IN A CHEF DE PARTIE:
We are looking for an existing Chef de Partie or an excellent Commis Chef looking for their next step, who considers themselves to have a passion and flare for producing quality fresh food in an environment that makes people feel welcome. As the successful Chef de Partie you will:
Have experience championing excellent service through quality food
Demonstrate a passion to deliver fantastic food every time
Be an active hands-on Chef de Partie / Kitchen Supervisor
Show willingness to learn new skills, be an active team player with excellent communication skills
Working alongside your Head Chef, you will be able to demonstrate your creativity and ability by helping to design and deliver new dishes for our menus and daily specials
Demonstrate great planning and organisational skills, necessary to maintain effective controls with regard to both GP and labour
Have a pro-active approach to driving sales and delivering growth, through engagement with both kitchen and front of house team
