The Club
The Oxford and Cambridge Club is an exclusive private members Club with a Grade II*-listed Clubhouse in central London. The Club has 46 bedrooms, a fine dining restaurant, 3 banqueting suites, 2 bars, 2 squash courts, a billiards room and extensive libraries. The Club has nearly 5000 members.
The Role
We are recruiting for a Chef De Rang Waiter to join our dynamic team. The ideal candidate will have previous experience of the role in a similar environment and a friendly, customer-focused demeanour. We are looking for someone who is highly personable, passionate about delivering five star service and thrives in a busy working environment where no two shifts are ever the same. The role is a full time position working 40 hours per week, any 5 days out of 7 including evenings, weekends and public holidays; last orders are at 9.45pm.

The main duties are:

  • To be involved in the day to day running of the Coffee Room, carrying out daily tasks for breakfast, lunch and dinner
  • Brief all waiting staff before each service to make sure all staff aware of all items on the menu and any special requests.
  • Explain dishes to members and guests
  • Ensure all Food Hygiene and Health & Safety policies and allergen control procedures are followed

The Person

  • Previous experience in a busy high quality restaurant
  • Passion for hospitality with a friendly disposition to smile
  • Reliable, professional and good team player
  • Excellent communication skills with good spoken and written English
  • Good grooming standards, no visible tattoos.
