Job Description We are looking for an engaging, proactive, and excellence-driven Chef de rang Sommelier to join our team from March to November. You will be the main point of reference for wine service in our restaurants, bringing passion, leadership, and meticulous attention to detail, and ensuring that every service exceeds our guests’ expectations. You will work in an exclusive environment, closely collaborating with management and key departments to deliver impeccable service aligned with the values of Borgo Pignano Tuscany and Relais & Châteaux Qualifications Your Responsibilities • Ensure refined, personalized dining service in line with Relais & Châteaux’s standards of excellence • Work closely with the Restaurant Manager and Assistant Restaurant Manager • Create, update, and oversee the wine list with EAM in charge F&B • Maintain inventory and order wine to replenish stock • Discuss wines with guests and assist them in making their selection • Taste wines before serving • Organize and conduct wine tastings for our guests • Attend to every detail of the guest experience, ensuring the highest level of satisfaction • Convey and uphold the property’s identity through storytelling (history, art, culture, agriculture) • Monitor and optimize the department’s financial and quality performance • Ensure compliance with grooming and presentation standards within the team • Serve as an ambassador of the property’s culinary philosophy, in harmony with seasonality and local products Reporting line: Restaurant Manager Additional Information What We Are Looking For • 2-3 years of experience in the same role within 4*/5* environments • Strong experience in service • A guest-oriented approach and great attention to detail • In-depth knowledge of the world of wine • AIS Level 3 certification (or equivalent qualifications) • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills • Problem-solving abilities, critical thinking, and strong time-management skills • Excellent personal presentation • Respect for nature and alignment with sustainability values • Excellent command of English and Italian (a third language is a plus) • Own transportation • Verifiable professional reference What We Offer • Work in a luxury hospitality environment rooted in sustainability • Single accommodation and meals included • Uniform and laundry service • Opportunities for professional growth and continuous training • A passionate team that values well-being and talent development • Training on Relais & Châteaux standards, quality, and industry regulations Our Commitment to You At Borgo Pignano, we offer a stimulating and inclusive working environment where collaboration, creativity and personal growth are key.
