Key Responsibilities

  • Lead and inspire the kitchen team to deliver consistently outstanding dishes, maintaining the highest standards of quality and presentation.
  • Oversee all aspects of food preparation, cooking, and plating, ensuring dishes meet our exacting standards before they leave the kitchen.
  • Maintain rigorous hygiene and safety standards, ensuring full compliance with all relevant regulations and best practices.
  • Monitor and manage stock levels, ordering supplies as needed while minimising waste and controlling food costs.
  • Train, mentor, and motivate junior kitchen staff, fostering a positive and productive working environment.
  • Collaborate with front-of-house staff to ensure seamless service and guest satisfaction.
  • Stay up to date with industry trends, new techniques, and presentation styles.
  • Support special events, and private functions as required.

About You

  • Proven experience in a similar chef role, ideally within a busy restaurant or hotel environment.
  • Formal culinary training or relevant qualifications are highly desirable.
  • Excellent organisational and time management skills, with the ability to remain calm under pressure.
  • Strong leadership and interpersonal skills, with a collaborative and supportive approach.
  • Passion for food, creativity, and a dedication to exceeding guest expectations.
  • Sound knowledge of food safety, hygiene, and allergen regulations.
  • Ability to adapt quickly to changes and handle multiple tasks efficiently.
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and holidays as required.
