We require Chefs to join our kitchen team in our private Aged Care Facility in Figtree.
A variety of shifts available which will be discussed with the successful applicants. Public holiday loading and weekend penalty rates will be available.

Skills and experience

• Certificate III/IV in Commercial Cookery is a must.
• Aged Care experience is desirable but not necessary.
• Must be reliable.
• Food safety certificate required or willing to obtain.
• Be able to multi task and work well in a team environment and a leadership role.
• Empathy towards residents and staff.
• Willing to go the extra mile to produce high quality standard of food and service.
• Knowledge in texture modified meals (IDDSI) preferred.

Responsibilities

• Cooking of lunch and dinner in accordance with the menu provided.
• Assisting Catering Manager in stock ordering, stock taking and customer care.
• May sometimes be required to assist in food and beverage service.
• Adhering to and completing quality assurance documents.
• Must be able to follow guidelines under the Aged Care Standards and follow implemented policy and procedures.
• Must have a friendly attitude and always remember that this is our residents home.

Job Types: Full-time, Part-time, Permanent
Pay: $32.00 – $34.00 per hour
