JOB DESCRIPTION:

We are seeking an experienced and reliable Chef to work in our busy cafe kitchen. The right candidate will be hands-on, organised, and able to deliver high-quality meals under pressure while keeping the kitchen running smoothly.

REQUIREMENTS:

• minimum 2 years experience in the Australian hospitality industry (essential)
• fluent in spoken and written English
• must be able to reliably commute to Northside Brisbane
• flexibility to work weekdays, weekends, and public holidays as needed

• prepare and cook breakfast, brunch and lunch menu items consistently to a high standard
• ensure the kitchen is kept well clean, safe and compliant with food hygiene regulations
• assist with menu planning and contribute ideas for specials
• manage stock control, ordering and reduce food waste
• work closely with the cafe team to provide excellent service
• follow food safety, allergen, and workplace health and safety guidelines
