JOB DESCRIPTION – INDIAN TANDOORI CHEF

At Patri, we celebrate the fire, the spice, and the timeless magic of Indian street food. Our kitchens are alive with the crackle of the tandoor, the aroma of freshly baked naan, and the smokey sizzle of marinated meats.
We are looking for a Tandoori Chef who can bring this tradition to life with skill, speed,

We will consider part time positions, evenings only from 5.30 p.m. to 10.30 on a hourly wage basis

Pay: £28,420.00-£34,023.31 per year

Responsibilities

Prepare authentic marinades and spice blends (chicken tikka, seekh kebab, paneer shashlik). * Cook breads, kebabs, and meats in the tandoor oven with consistency and precision. * Manage prep for daily service and batch production for delivery kitchens. * Maintain kitchen hygiene, HACCP standards, and food safety compliance. * Work with the Head Chef and Development Team to create new tandoori specials. * Train junior chefs and assistants on tandoor handling and recipes. * Right to Work in the UK is essential. * We do not offer sponsorship visas. * Applications from overseas candidates will not be considered. * You must already be living in the UK and legally able to work full-time.

What We’re Looking For

  • Proven experience as a Tandoori Chef in Indian restaurants, hotels, or production kitchens.
  • Hands-on knowledge of marinades, spice profiles, and traditional tandoor techniques.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, delivery-driven environment (Deliveroo, Uber Eats, Just Eat).
  • Strong sense of consistency, presentation, and portion control.
  • Passion for authentic Indian food with a touch of creativity.
