Main Job Responsibilities Delivers an exceptional experience at every cooking class. Ensures that the class is a success by creating a fun and educational environment for students. Sets up and prepares ingredients for classes and ensures classroom is set up for students, then returned to a clean and organized state at completion of class Manages Event Assistants during class, providing clear direction and expectations as well as feedback Collaborates with the Co-op Chef and store team to ensure a seamless learning environment. Promotes ingredients and seasonal marketing initiatives of PCC Markets. Other duties as needed or required to ensure the successful execution of the cooking class This position works consistently at a light physical work level and may be asked to work on occasion at a medium or heavy physical work level when supporting stores or other offsite events. Frequently required to sit, walk, reach, and grasp. Required to be on feet with a mix of standing and walking throughout shift. Qualifications and Skills Required Qualifications: Two years’ experience in a related culinary field required, experience might include working as restaurant cook/sous chef/chef, as a private chef, catering, recipe writer/developer, nutritionist, etc. Demonstrated ability to multitask and problem solve in the moment, especially under pressure Proven ability to convey information to a group in a fun and engaging way Ability to work in a fast-paced environment while maintaining a positive customer service orientation toward staff and public Intermediate level of computer skills in order to interact with simple video broadcasting technology Available to work a flexible schedule that includes evenings and weekends. Not responsible for hiring or conducting performance reviews. Work occurs in an office, a variety of off-site environments and in a grocery store environment which includes surfaces that can be wet and slippery, moderate noise level, and temperature extremes in controlled environments in the cooler and freezer, and depending on location, working outside in all temperatures.
