QUALIFICATIONS & SKILLS:

Culinary qualifications such as Certificate in IV in Cookery or Kitchen Management
At least 1 year of work experience as chef
Knowledge of various cooking procedures and methods
Excellent presentation and communication skills
Organisational Skills
Kitchen Equipment Knowledge
Ability to follow all sanitation procedures

POSITION DESCRIPTION:

  • We are seeking a qualified and experienced Chef to join our team on a full-time basis. The successful
Responsibilities
  • Prepare and cook food according to the menu and recipes
  • Construct menus with new or existing culinary creations ensuring the variety and quality of the servings
  • Plan orders of equipment or ingredients according to identified shortages
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards
  • Monitor quality of dishes at all stages of preparation and presentation
  • Coordinate with wait staff to ensure customers’ special requests and food allergies
  • Monitor food stock, supplies and place orders, as needed
  • Ensure that sufficient stocks of all materials are being kept and stored under thecorrect conditions with regard to Food Safety NSW guidelines
  • Adhere to all hygiene and sanitation regulations, ensuring the kitchen is always
  • compliant with statutory requirements.
  • Ensure that all statutory hygiene requirements are diligently followed. Supervise, train, and motivate kitchen staff to ensure smooth operation and excellent performance.
  • Maintain high standards in the preparation and service of all menu items.
